Family and Fun

A day away from the shop and a chance to spend precious time with family......my three nephews are down for their half-term break. After a delicious pasty lunch at the National Trust cafe at Carnewas we head down the steps to the beach at Bedruthan.

Waiting for the tide to go out just far enough so that we can venture onto the pristine sand beyond......

Then in the evening, a visit to Trerice Manor for some ghostly goings-on at this reputedly haunted house cared for by The National Trust. Armed with torches we step inside the large dining hall......

where a grisly ghoul emerges from a cobwebby casket. And then his eyes light up!

Upstairs a severed hand dripped blood into the bathtub, and a figure of an old crone propped up on pillows in the bedroom suddenly lunged forward and shouted BOO! (In the dim light it was hard to tell what were make-believe figures and which were real people!)
Hope you too had a Halloween full of family and fun x
